🎨For our 🎨 Art Date 🎨, today's optional prompt is Fruit! Please feel free to share any art you've created, we would love to see it! Does a Cherry Blossom chocolate bar count as a fruit? Tweety Bird thinks so! I used to LOVE that candy bar! Do you remember the commercial?

⬆️⬆️ This was the commercial I remember from when I was a kid in the 1970's! Does this bring back memories for anyone?

⬆️⬆️ I've been deep into art courses and I used some of the glazing techniques I learned in my studies for this watercolor pear study.

😋For our 😋 Dinner Date 😋, I made some Zucchini Bread! I replaced the eggs with some applesauce to make this a vegan treat.

I used my Homemade Unsweetened Applesauce and it was delicious!

⬆️⬆️ Many of you know Nicole from DVArtist, Art, Food, Gardening blog. She is a sweet and very talented friend. She sent me one of her faces. I adore it!

🎨😋 Thursday Art and Dinner Date: Collage

 

Welcome my Friends, to Thursday's Art and Dinner Date! 😊😊

🎨For our 🎨 Art Date 🎨, today's optional prompt is Collage! Please feel free to share any art you've created, we would love to see it! Bugs Bunny decided to make a collage as a tribute to the late and great Mel Blanc who voiced pretty much all of the Looney Tune voices. He was also the voice of Woody Woodpecker and Barney Rubble from the Flintstones. Mel Blanc did a lot of old time radio as well before he got big with his cartoon voices! I drew Bugs and made the collage from internet images using Photoshop!

😋For our 😋 Dinner Date 😋, I managed to do a little vegan baking and cooking this past week! I made a vegan pineapple upside-down cake. I hope to have a recipe transcribed in the near future! It tasted just like a cake made with eggs, milk and butter!

⬆️⬆️ I got some canning done the last week as well. Homemade Mild Salsa and Homemade Chunky Pizza Sauce. I got about 20 pints of each done so we're set well into the spring!

⬆️⬆️ I also tried a few vegan "cheeses". The "cheese" on the left is made with cashews and tastes a bit like a nutty cream cheese. The "cheese" on the right is like a cheez whiz, and it really has a good cheesy flavour! I wanted to try these out before making videos and sharing recipes because they both need a wee bit of tweaking still! 

⬆️⬆️ Bread LOVE!! I made some Lemon Yogurt Muffins and some Old Fashioned White Bread.

Welcome my Friends, to Thursday's Art and Dinner Date! 😊😊 I keep saying this, but I WILL drop by to visit every art/dinner date post I've missed in the past month! I will also be visiting all of my blog friends very soon! Don't give up on me! 💕  And thank you so much to my friends who sent me Christmas cards this year!!! 🎄

🎨For our 🎨 Art Date 🎨, today's optional prompt is Aerial View! Please feel free to share any art you've created, we would love to see it! Granny and Tweety Bird were kind enough to pose for me this week! I think I got Tweety Bird's aerial viewpoint okay, but Granny's was challenging!

I painted a galaxy with watercolours this week too! I feel like I'm in my 20's again...going to school part time and working full time! My watercolour course is going well, I'm learning a lot - and I plan on taking more courses! I'm pretty much working full time on my YouTube channels now too. I have lots of things I'm a-cookin' up for 2023!!

😋For our 😋 Dinner Date 😋, I don't have much to show! Thanks so much for the well wishes last week, we are both feeling much healthier! I did make some Corn Bread and it was delicious! I've been experimenting with vegan food lately too, trying to adapt some of my recipes without using animal products...I'll keep you posted!

😋For our 😋 Dinner Date 😋, it's been a soup week for us. We both have some kind of stomach flu that we can't shake. I've been hibernating in bed mostly. I hope you're all well! I made a chicken noodlish style soup for me and an Italian Pasta Soup for Alex. I made enough so that we had at least a week's worth! Making more tonight!

🎨😋 Thursday Art and Dinner Date: Yuletide! A Christmas Scene!

 

Welcome my Friends, to Thursday's Art and Dinner Date! 😊😊 I've been very slow on blog visits and commenting, but will catch up over the holidays my friends! Wishing you all a safe and blessed Yuletide season! 🔥🌙 (Note to Tom: I've been trying to comment on your blog for weeks, hope you're getting the comments because I never see them when I refresh the pages!)

🎨For our 🎨 Art Date 🎨, today's optional prompt is A Christmas Scene! Tweety Bird loves watching the old Grinch cartoon on tv every year and he wanted to dress up like Cindy Lou Who! Please feel free to share any art you've created, we would love to see it!

⬆️⬆️ I also painted a happy snow lady with Christmas lights! I used watercolors for this!

😋For our 😋 Dinner Date 😋, I have another yummy cocktail to share! A Brandy Alexander. This is one of my favourite comfort cocktails during the winter! Life has been such a whirlwind, I haven't had time to do much cooking and baking!

⬆️⬆️ For Winter Solstice dinner, I made a chicken-less Coq Au Vin. I haven't been eating chicken lately but I was craving this stew so I made it without the chicken and bacon and used veggie broth instead of chicken broth. Served with mashed potatoes and my homemade Fruit Ketchup - perfect comfort food!

⬆️⬆️ I cheated a bit and bought that Tuxedo cake from the bakery because I ran out of time and energy for a homemade cake! I will be making my Yule Log cake for Christmas this weekend and I'll share that next week!

⬆️⬆️ I decided to try some handmade giftwrap this year! I found all of my supplies at the dollar store: brown packing paper, ribbons and decorations and acrylic paints!

⬆️⬆️ 😋For our 😋 Dinner Date 😋, I have some drinks to share! I made a few mocktails, or non-alcoholic drinks! A Sangria Mocktail and a Shirley Temple!

⬆️⬆️ And for those who imbibe, here's Rain's Christmas Cookie Cocktail! It's made with milk, Baileys, Kahlua and Crème de Menthe! Yummy!

🎨For our 🎨 Art Date 🎨, today's optional prompt is Constellation! Tweety Bird is admiring the beautiful night sky! I painted this scene with acrylics. Please feel free to share any art you've created, we would love to see it!

⬆️⬆️ I also painted a Mermaid looking up at the Big Dipper, this was done with watercolours though I'm kuffuffled because there is a lot of green in that water, but I just couldn't capture it with my camera or the scanner on my printer. I even tried to add green with Photoshop but it looked horrid, I have to figure out a proper way to photograph my paintings!

⬆️⬆️ 😋For our 😋 Dinner Date 😋, I have some delicious Dinner Rolls to share with you!!
