Welcome to Thursday's Art Date, today our theme is Gates and Fences. Bugs Bunny decided to don his extra-snug fencing outfit and parry his épée for today's theme.😊
New birds at the feeder: Purple Finches |
I hope you're all doing well. I am relaxing as best I can, I've started a little bit of therapy too, to help myself cope with stress; and we've started to slowly start working on the house again. Enjoy each day and thanks for dropping by!
I contacted Eva and Kristin from Paint Party Friday, asked them if I could borrow their idea of highlighting an artist each week, they were okay with it! I randomly drew from last week's art date participants, and this week's highlighted artist is Monica from NatureFootstep blog. Monica was testing acrylic swipes on photo paper and came up with this lovely creation!
That's all for now folks! Please check out the link widget below for more "Gates and Fences" creations!
See you soon!!! 💗💗💗

Hi Rain I am glad you have some stress management and hope you will feel better soon. I had anxiety last year and found my rowing machine a great help and walking in nature more than anything. I hope your pets are all ok and a comfort to you. It will be fun starting work on the house but I hope it won't create stress of its own - living in the day is the answer :) love and virtual hugs. Betty x
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you are getting help. Look after yourself please - you matter to lots of us.
ReplyDeleteHello rain,
ReplyDeleteBugs Bunny with the knight armor super drawn. Bautiful photos from Purple Finches!
That sounds very good to you and I am glad that you take care of yourself so that you are fine again.
Congratulations to Monica with her great work!
Have a good time, hug Elke
Hi Rain,
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful art and the photo of the feeding place is very beautiful.
I got my first corona vaccination yesterday so I am happy, I don't really have to worry that much anymore.
I wish you a lot of strength.
Greetings Irma
Congrats to Monica, her art featured today.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday everyone

...an interesting take on fence. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are taking care of yourself as best you can rain. Fun take on fences today! Monica’s piece is lovely.
ReplyDeleteRelax, stay well, eat cheese, drink coffee! Take good care of yourself and you'll be up and at 'em in no time.
ReplyDeletePopping in to say "hi" and hope you are coping these days. These weird times (that have gone on longer than we all anticipated) are making any kind of stressor that much worse. Take care, have lots of pet therapy, enjoy those pretty birds. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteVery clever to have swordsbunny Bugs for "fences!" I hope your stress eases soon, dear Rain!
ReplyDeleteHi Rain, glad you are taking some therapy. I am thinking I may need it once I can finally end self-isolation, if ever. Then again, maybe I'll be living the rest of my life that way in some form. I've been changed a lot by it. It is true, we all get used to the habits we form. Read an article the other day about how it's gonna be one against the other (Stay homers v. Go Outers). Hmmmm. Introverts v. Extroverts? XOXO
ReplyDeleteSending hugs from the ridge! Keep going on your walks, and gaining strength and power from the beauty of your woods! :) !
ReplyDeleteCute cartoon! I am glad that therapy is helping you with the stress. Take care!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you have help to cope with the stress. Take good care of yourself Rain. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are taking the right steps Rain. Be kind to yourself. For me, I think like you, I find walks in Nature to be incredibly helpful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a striking piece, Rain. And I am glad you are getting support -- these are indeed challenging times and stressful things just seem to pile up, bit by bit till they are oh, so big. I know you will find a path and am pleased that you are taking good care. Good thoughts be with you.
ReplyDeleteFencing, now that is brilliant. Yes, Monica is a very nice lady and wonderful artist. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteIt's been terribly stressful for all. You take care. You've moved, and uprooted yourselves, and I cannot imagine what you've been through.
ReplyDeleteDear Rain, I'm glad you are taking care of your own needs - health is so important and nothing else goes right if one is ill! Personally I'm not doing great right now either, even typing is difficult with hand/arm problems as I have a flare of Polymyalgia Rheumatica yet again!!! So my dear, know I'm thinking of you, and I hope to have better mobility soon.
ReplyDeleteMary x
Doh. If only I had looked in yesterday I have lots of fences and gates with birds on top. Can you repeat this one please Rain? As I thought, the Evenings locate much further north than the Roseys. But don't touch - they'll have your finger off!
ReplyDeletePhil, the link widget is open for another 8 hours or so as I type this! I think I have it set to close at 11:59pm Friday nights EST!
ReplyDeleteHello Rain,
ReplyDeleteLove the Bugs bunny dressed in the fencing outfit is cute. Love the pretty Purple Finch. I do enjoy Monica's blog and art images. I hope you can relieve some of your stress, take care and feel better. Happy Sunday, wishing you a great new week!
Rain, I wanted to tell you goodbye. I'm leaving the homestead and this blog. Your blog has fed my creative side for many years, thank you.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you're taking care of yourself, Rain. And your take on the theme fence is pretty clever. :)
ReplyDeletei hope you will feel great soon dear Rain and i hope you will share this with us either
ReplyDeletebugs looking amazing lol
Hello dear!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry cute Jack has dental problems. I can very well understand why you are worried about this. Our 17 year old cat Maxwell had to have an operation on his teeth the previous year - 5 teeth were bad - but Maxwell had a heart murmur and bad kidney values. I was afraid I would never see him again, but he survived the operation well. Four teeth were extracted, then the doctor had to stop because the blood pressure was dropping rapidly. But after that he was soon fine. (And after that he also survived a car accident ...) I keep my fingers crossed that everything is going well with Jack too !!!
I can tell you that chamomile tea and passionflower tincture are healthier and better for the world than Strawberry Quik milk anyway. The Nestlé company is terribly bad for the world (deforestation for palm oil and cocoa, child labor, water exploitation, etc.) - so it's good that you don't drink this stuff now :-) [By the way, I also use passionflower tincture to fall asleep :-)]
Have a nice weekend!
