-25 Celsius. This is after being outside for about 10 minutes. Notice the frozen droplet hanging over my right eye. Jack Frost is creeping into my knitted hat too. We're in a deep freeze again!
My four Camemberts are starting to mould beautifully! I can't wait to eat these! They have another month or so to go!
Here's a video of the six pets tasting the 3-month old Cheddar I made in October. I think they all liked it! :) (I reviewed my Cheddar on Rainy Day Cheese Making if you're interested!)
See you all on Thursday for our art date! The theme is Dining.

Dogs and cheese go together like the need for air to breathe. I have yet to see a dog turn down cheese. Cats are iffy now and then. I wish we could have a really good deep freeze here for at least three to four days. It would kill the bad bugs. But this is one of the sad realities of living in the south. Stay warm my friend.
ReplyDelete10 minutes?
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful and, honestly, your eyelashes are stunning, but...why does anyone live there? 🥶
My dogs and cats always loved cheese. Lovely to see your furry kids enjoying it! But I didn't make my own, I'm sure it's wonderful. Never seen frozen eyelashes before, oh my, it must be VERY cold. Take good care of yourselves, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThat's an awesome cosplay you're doing as the Frost Queen, LOL!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness.,
ReplyDeleteWhat long eyelashes you have Grandma - as little red riding hood said to the wolf.
Love those wintry scenes (probably because we are still way too hot).
Your cheese looks delicious and the dogs would be lucky to get any if I was around.
they like cheese!
ReplyDeletehow the cats and the dogs love to sit there and enjoy the cheese! Great video
ReplyDeleteThe cheese looks delicious and it's still cold with you, huch how you look and so warm with us.
I wish you a nice week, Elke
That is just too dang cold. What in the world were you doing out in it? I have never seen a dog turn down cheese......ever. Your cats seemed to really like it as well. How well trained are you pets. Do they ever get nasty with each other? Stay warm my friend. I probably should not tell you it is 26C here today. A might bit warmer than you.
ReplyDeletei really need to move north. it's sunny and 60 and the damn rodent didn't see his shadow which means an early spring. i love your food critics! the w's would be only too happy to participate!
ReplyDeleteAh yes, frozen eyelashes. It's not that cold here, just lots of wet snow. Your picture made me think of going to friends' who have a hottub on their back deck and we would go into in the winter time, and our hair would freeze, but the rest of our bodies would be nice and hot in the water. Odd sensation. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that photo of you, Rain. It's quite magical! Mind you, I'll be glad when winter is over. But the photo is really cool. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, you look so cold! We are finally having a few days of warmer weather.
ReplyDeleteRain,
ReplyDeleteHoly Smoke, frozen water droplets, ice in your lashes! How on earth do you survive those Canadian winters? I'm soooo happy to live in the Tennessee Valley. Thank you God for letting me live here!!! :D Have a good week an keep warm, dearie!
You have such beautiful eyes, Rain. I love that drop of water on your lashes. I also love camembert cheese!

The picture of you with the frost is beautiful! I bet that would win a photo contest! Look at your cheeses....amazing! I love, love, love the video of the "family" testing your cheese. How do you get them to all line up like that? So cute!
ReplyDeleteGoodness Rain, those frozen eyelashes remind me of my childhood on the ranch in Wyoming. Many a day of frozen everything...lol. Your furry babies are so well behaved. There is no way I could line mine up for taste testing... sorta like that old adage of herding cats... ain’t happening... thanks for the awesome look at those cheese wheels! Soon, I say, soon!
ReplyDeleteYour frozen pictures is terrific! And that water droplet on your eye lashes - wow! Great shot. Love the video of the dogs and cats eating cheese. How sweet they are. And so good to wait their turns. I'm pretty amazed at how well behaved they are!
ReplyDeleteWhat lucky cats and dogs in your household, Rain. They sure do apreciate your cheese making and nice to have so many taste samples, including the 2 humans. The iced eyelids was an amazing photo!
ReplyDeleteOMG - those are the kinds of temps I experienced while living in North Dakota, and wow, you've created a new kind of lash too!(lol)We had to stay so bundled up because our flesh could freeze in seconds! That's some serious cold there Rain! I miss the cold here for sure, and wish you could bottle up some to send over here. You already know that I love, love, love cheddar too! Sending you lots of hugs! RO
ReplyDeleteOhhh no more eye lash freezing for me. LOL The cheese looks amazing. You are so busy with so many different things.
ReplyDeletewow those "eyelashes" are amazing!! It would cost a fortune to get that look if you went into a salon somewhere.
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH on the lashes....that is crazy. I have never seen that before. That is COLD.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I so know what it's like to have frozen eyelashes! I forgot to mention how much I liked your candles that you drew, Rain! You have the best-behaved pets! Oscar seemed a little tentative about the cheese ~ maybe cautious is a better word!
