Hi Everyone,
How is everything in your neck of the woods? I've been trying to get back into my painting and drawing lately, I did this watercolour on the porch yesterday in the sweltering heat. I love having my easel on the porch with me! :)
Here's a quick 1 minute video I took this morning with the dogs in the woods. Just an update on what's happening here with me. :) Thanks for all of your wonderful comments the last few posts! They make me happy! :)
I love the video!! Your painting is beautiful, perfect for summer!! Cool and refreshing!
ReplyDeleteHello to you, too, dear Rain! Yes, summer does slow down the time for writing and reading blogs, spending time on the Internet. To everything there is a season, eh? So many things to do outside that keep us from doing things inside! Fall and winter and hibernation (!) will be here before we know it.
ReplyDeleteFun video! Happy to hear all is going well. Enjoy your summer. :)
ReplyDeleteYour dogs were really focused on their walk, it looks lovely there. The garden is doing well but the heatwave could play havoc with it. My lettuce and spinach stood 4 days of it and then ran to seed. The soft fruit is amazing and we have a heavy crop of apples and plums. I am so thankful for my water butts they are keeping everything happy so far. Love the watercolour, it cooled me down just looking at it.
ReplyDeleteSitting on your porch with easel, paints and inspiration is the perfect way to spend your summer! I can only aspire... I sense a settling in and rising peacefulness, now that it is your original family unit again. Your garden is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are all having a great summer!!! As it should be. :-)
ReplyDeleteHere, we just got over a heat wave, which was "not pretty." But our flowers have mostly made it through.
Keep right on enjoying the summer!!!!!
There will be plenty of time for blogging, later in the year!!!!
Enjoy!
I have been watching your artwork on IG. Your are so talented.
ReplyDeleteLives the dog walk video. Jack looks so tiny between the two Huskies Do you guys have issues with ticks? I know you are superb dog parents and you would never let ticks gets in your babies. I just wondered as we have that problem in our woods here in the US.
it's so nice to go walking with you! there will be plenty of winter time to be on the computer. keep enjoying your nice weather!
ReplyDeleteI loved catching up on your last few posts! Love your artwork! I’m still so impressed over your container garden!
ReplyDeleteYour dogs are so well behaved. 💕
ReplyDeleteOur garden is doing so well. We have more raspberries than we can use! Yum.
Thanks for taking us on a part of your walk.
Oh I can just picture an easel set up on the porch...it sounds about perfect!
ReplyDeleteLove the dolphin!
ReplyDeleteThat's a whole lotta dogs. :) Makes me want to go for a walk!
What a great video and a beautiful painting!
ReplyDeleteHiya Rain! So nice to "walk" with you through the woods! I will do it from the safety of my chair tho, still covered in poison ivy. The second round of it hit me on the weekend. So no woods for me!
ReplyDeleteI am missing your Instagram pics - I am not sure that I like the new format of Instagram. A learning curve for me. But I haven't been on much myself. Too much to do!
I miss you here on the blogworld - can't wait to see your happy posts back in the fall! :)
Drop me a line when you are able! We have catching up to do!
I loved the video and hearing you speak about what is going on in your life. I ❤️ summer also and puttering around in my gardens. It all goes by so fast though, doesn’t it.
ReplyDeleteOMG Rain, your voice is so soothing. It actually sounds like rain on flowers. I would love to hear you cook one of your wonderful meals and start a mini cooking show with all the neat things from your garden. That dolphin picture is so amazing, and it was neat to see your furry friends enjoying their walk. Hugs and Happy Day. Thanks for sharing a piece of your world with us! RO
ReplyDeleteDid doing that painting help you feel cooler? lol
ReplyDeleteGreat Dolphin!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pleasant walk! Did the painting make you feel cooler? We have had hot weather here also. I can't believe it will soon be the middle of July! Enjoy! Nancy
ReplyDeleteSo nice to "hear' you! And now I'm obsessed with that dolphin. That's my spirit animal, ha. In my single days I had a bathroom at my apartment completely decorated with dolphins. I have exactly one tattoo on my body and, yep, it's a dolphin, ha. Happy Summer!
ReplyDeleteI think your painting is great, Rain. And I loved watching the video and hearing your voice. Your dogs are so sweet walking together. What a beautiful spot to walk!

ReplyDeleteI know you're spending more time outside or on Instagram, but I still thought I'd pop over to say hello and share some hugs...RO
ReplyDeleteJust stopped by to touch base, so you wouldn't think I have forgotten about you. I haven't. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear all is going well with you, Alex, the dogs and the garden! I have been bad blogging this summer too but hopefully now I will be better. Outside here is too hot...90's F every day with heat indexes in the 100's. I'm just working on the inside for now. Glad to hear all is okay....I always get concerned when I don't check that something might have happended. Take care!
ReplyDeleteHey Rain, how are you my dear. It's been a while since you posted, so I'm checking up on you. Take care.xxx
