Witch's Hats and Spider Cookies
Witch's Hats and Spider Cookies
✎ Print Recipe
Ingredients
For the Witch's Hats
Sugar ice cream cones
Flat cookies (for the base of the hat) - I used my Spicy Tia Maria cookies
Melted chocolate
Candy to fill the hats (I used M&M's)
Decoration for the hat - I used orange Smarties
For the Spider Cookies
Cookies of your choice - again I used my Spicy Tia Maria cookies
Chocolate balls for the spider body - I used Whoppers
Googly Eyes
Melted chocolate
Directions
For the Witch's Hats
1. Melt your chocolate. Dip the sugar cones and cookies in the chocolate and let them air dry on wax paper for about 10 minutes. Put them in the freezer to set for a good hour.
2. After an hour and with more melted chocolate, brush a little on the top of the cookie. Carefully fill the cone with candy and place it on top of the melted chocolate on the cookie. This will seal it. Dip your decoration in the melted chocolate to glue it onto the hat. Freeze until ready to serve.
For the Spider Cookies
1. Melt your chocolate. Dip your chocolate balls into the chocolate and place two in the middle of the cookie. Dip the backs of your googly eyes into the chocolate to glue them to the front of one of the chocolate balls. Pipe some melted chocolate across the cookie on each side to make a total of 8 legs. Freeze until ready to serve.
