May 4th's theme for our art and dinner date is "Embossed" (please visit my blog, Rain's Kitchen and Garden , on Thursday May 4th to post your link!).
The definition of embossed:
1. decorated with a design that stands out in relief
2. carved, molded, or stamped on a surface or object
Think TEXTURE.
You can use layers of paint to create an embossed look, or as above my 3D hand drawing. You can also use mixed media to create an embossed piece of art. Shading and highlighting can do the trick too! I know, this is a tough one and I ask myself "Rain, what were you thinking???" LOL...let's try our best!!!
