Sugar Pie
Ingredients
Your favourite pie crust (here's mine!)
6 tbsp flour
2 cups packed brown sugar
1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 400.
2. In a saucepan, combine flour and sugar. Stir in milk, butter, salt and vanilla. Cook, whisking constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. (Make sure to use a spatula to get the sides, some flour mixture tends to stick!) Pour into an blind-baked pie shell.
3.Bake for 5 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 and continue baking for 25 minutes.
