Spicy Apple Butter
Yield: about 3 1/2 cups

Ingredients
3 pounds apples, peeled, cored and diced
1 cup apple cider (or apple juice)
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1 cinnamon stick
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 pinch ground cloves
1 pinch salt
Directions
1. Place all ingredients into a slow cooker and slow cook on low for 8 hours.
2. Remove the cinnamon stick and blend well.
3. To thicken, place in a pot on the stove and simmer until desired consistency.
