September 9th's theme for our art date is "September Fine Art: Minimalism" (please visit Rain's Garden on Thursday September 9th to post your link!).
"Minimalism is an extreme form of abstract art developed in the USA in the 1960s and typified by artworks composed of simple geometric shapes based on the square and the rectangle." (Tate.org)
"What you see is what you see" became the Minimalism art movement’s mantra. (Artland)
Note: You don't have to follow the exact definition of geometric shapes, think of the mantra of what you see is what you see! Here are some internet images to inspire you!
