Settled in the Maritimes of Canada, surrounded by the forest and Acadian Mountain Chain, I live a simple life of gratitude. This blog is a journal of my art, food, furkids, garden, home, my life and my thoughts. Thanks for reading!
Pizza Twists
Pizza Twists
(Makes 8)
Ingredients:
Pizza Dough (enough to make two 9-inch thin crust pizzas)
Pizza sauce
Ham
Olives
Mozzarella cheese
Parm
Directions:
1. Prepare or defrost your pizza dough. Preheat oven to 400F.
2. Cut pizza dough in half. Roll out the dough into two 1/2 inch rectangles.
3. Spread pizza sauce sparingly on one half. Add your toppings.
4. Spread more sauce on the second half and place on top of the first. Seal the edges a little bit. Cut into about 8 strips and twist (it's kind of messy so don't be surprised! Just try to shove the filling back in as you twist). Place on baking pans, brush with pizza sauce and sprinkle with Parm.
5. Bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
These twists are great for dipping! Use marinara sauce or leftover pizza sauce or even ranch dressing to dip the twists!
Note for me: next time try without olives.
