May 30th: Thursday Art Date With Rain - Sea Creature

The Kraken (watercolour) - 2017

Hello Friends!

May 30th's theme for our art date is: Sea Creature
(please visit Rain's Garden on Thursday May 30th to post your link!)

I love this one! The sea intrigues me and scares me at the same time!! I read a statistic that as of the year 2018, More than 80% of our oceans are unmapped, unobserved, and unexplored. Doesn't that sound kind of crazy to you? I mean, I get why, it's not easy to get down to the depths of the oceans, but still...makes you wonder what's down there!!!

Canadian Sea Creature???  :)
Sea creatures come in all shapes, sizes and forms! They can be real or imagined. What do you think of when you think of "Sea Creature"? Is your creature frightening or gentle? Is your sea blue, green or so deep it's black? Is your "sea" a lake, river, pond or ocean? Is your creature swimming, hunting, hiding or exploring? What perspective do you see - the creature's or yours? Lots to consider! :)

Here is some inspiration for you (photos found online):

Me in 2014 - Caught that scary Muskie...check out the teeth! He went back in the lake and I was relieved!
