Margherita Pizza

Margherita Pizza
Yield: 2 x 9" pizzas

Ingredients:

Thin Crust Pizza Dough - or pizza dough of your choice that will make 2 pizzas
Chunky Pizza Sauce - or your choice of vegetarian pizza sauce
Quick Fresh Mozzarella Cheese - or store bought fresh Mozzarella/Bocconcini

Directions:
* these are the directions using my recipes above!

1. Prepare your pizza dough, sauce and cheese in advance.

2. Heat your oven to 500F. (260C or Gas Mark 10). If you have a pizza stone, use it! Put it into the oven before pre-heating. If your oven doesn't go up to 500F, preheat it at the highest temperature available.

3. Roll out the pizza dough into 2 x  9" circles and let sit 30 minutes while the oven heats up.

4. Make your pizzas one at a time. When the oven is hot, place your pizza dough onto a floured pizza peel and place directly onto your pizza stone. If you don't have a pizza stone, transfer your dough to a 9" round pizza pan and place into the oven.

5. Let the dough bake for about 1-2 minutes until you see it puffing up. Remove from the oven.

6. If your dough is very puffy, gently pat it down.

7. Spoon some sauce onto your pizza dough, then some sliced fresh Mozzarella cheese.

8. Return the pizza to the oven and bake until the crust starts to brown. Don't let your Mozzarella burn, it will melt but if left in the oven too long, it will brown.

9. Repeat with the second pizza.

Enjoy!
