I found this beautifully magical toadstool on our front lawn last summer! |
Hello Friends! 😊
June 18th's theme for our art date is: A Magical World (please visit Rain's Garden on Thursday June 18th to post your link!).
What does magic mean to you? To me, it's the natural world around me. The moon, the sun, the tides, the seasons...the critters and the cycles of life. When I see a seed germinating and becoming a head of lettuce, that's magical. When I hear the spring peepers chirping every April, that's magical. When I'm walking in the woods and suddenly I feel as though I'm not alone - I look to my side and see a beautiful deer - THAT'S magical!
When I was a child, I really believed in fairies, elves and the magical world. As I grew up, I lost that magic, but I try very hard to bring it back to my life every day. If you open your eyes and your mind to what's out there, you'll discover more magic than you think could ever have existed.
Some magic is simply illusion, but doesn't that make you think? Doesn't that open up your senses to what you may be overlooking?
Here are some internet images to inspire you!
