July 16th's theme for our art date is: Two Colours (please visit Rain's Garden on Thursday July 16th to post your link!).
I'll admit, when I try to paint with two colours, it's usually black and white or blue and white. I love the look of a simple piece of art, using water or more pigment to make the piece come alive. The only time I feel really comfortable using lots of colours is when I'm drawing, but even then, I prefer using charcoals - which, with blending, produce only shades of black.
