Settled in the Maritimes of Canada, surrounded by the forest and Acadian Mountain Chain, I live a simple life of gratitude. This blog is a journal of my art, food, furkids, garden, home, my life and my thoughts. Thanks for reading!
Homemade Sausages
Homemade Sausages
(made 6)
Ingredients:
1 1/2 pound pork tenderloin, ground
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp ground sage
1/2 tsp ground thyme
Dash ground rosemary
Dash nutmeg
1 tbsp brown sugar
Directions:
1. Mix up all the ingredients and chill for about an hour.
2. Using a (good) sausage maker, place your casing and go for it.
** A lot of sites recommend hanging the sausages to dry for a few hours, then refrigerating overnight. Others say no hanging is necessary. I didn't hang them and covered them in the fridge overnight. At this point, you can cook them or freeze them.
