February 11th: Thursday Art Date With Rain - "February Films - Film Noir"

Film Noir Bugs (2018)

Hello Friends! 😊😊

February 11th's theme for our art date is: "February Films - Film Noir" (please visit Rain's Garden on Thursday February 11th to post your link!).

I hope this description from Wikipedia inspires you - and remember, you don't have to be a film buff to join in! Anything that might inspire a Film Noir will fit in perfectly! 😊

Film noir (meaning black film or dark film) is a genre of movie that primarily describes stylish Hollywood crime dramas from the 1940s and 1950s. Film noir of this era is associated with a low-key, black-and-white visual style that has roots in German Expressionist cinematography. There is often a Femme Fatale who causes lots of trouble for the main character too!

Film noir encompasses a range of plots: the central figure may be a private investigator, a plainclothes policeman, an aging boxer, a hapless grifter, a law-abiding citizen lured into a life of crime, or simply a victim of circumstance.

And here are some internet images to inspire you further!
