Plain White Bread
(Adapted from Taste of Home)
Makes 1 loaf

Ingredients
2 1/2 cups flour
2 1/4 tsp yeast
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp baking soda
1 cup milk (warmed to 110 F)
1/4 cup water (warmed to 120 F)
Directions
1. In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of flour with the other dry ingredients.
2. Add the milk and water and beat on low for about 30 seconds.
3. Add the rest of the flour and mix well until combined.
4. Scoop the dough into a greased loaf pan and let rise for about 45 minutes.
5. Bake in a 375 F oven for 30 minutes.
Note: This bread is okay, it's nothing special, but it toasts very well.
