Hello Friends! 😊😊
December 10th's theme for our art date is: Cubism (please visit Rain's Garden on Thursday December 10th to post your link!).
According to Oxford: "Cubism is an early 20th-century style and movement in art, especially painting, in which perspective with a single viewpoint was abandoned and use was made of simple geometric shapes, interlocking planes, and, later, collage."
Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque are considered the founders of cubism. I don't necessarily see things as geometric shapes but I am able to "abandon" perspective in my art. I'm not a fan of this style, but I'd like to try it out and I hope you do too!
