Yield: 4-6 side servings
Ingredients
1 cup apple cider or apple juice (250 ml)
1 cup brown sugar (195 g)
2 tbsp water (30 ml)
1 small cinnamon stick
1.5 cups fresh cranberries (approx. 150 g)

Directions
1. In a saucepan, combine the cider, sugar, water and cinnamon. Bring to a simmer and stir to dissolve the sugar.
2. Add the cranberries and simmer for 10 minutes (you'll hear them popping as they cook).
3. Let cool at room temperature and transfer to bowl. Remove cinnamon stick and refrigerate for 24 hours.

* If you like a spicier flavor, you can leave the cinnamon stick in the sauce during refrigeration, just remember to remove it before serving!
