Chinese Fondue
Serve this fondue with pre-blanched broccoli and cauliflower, Rice Pilaf and fondue meats if you desire. Homemade fondue broth is so much better than store bought and I have a chicken broth recipe that follows. Also, the two fondue sauces that follow are Alex's Grandma's recipes that we are happy to share!

Chicken Broth for Chinese Fondue
Ingredients
6 cups of chicken stock
2 chopped green onions
About a 1/2 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
2 minced garlic cloves
Directions
Bring all ingredients to a boil. As soon as the broth boils, take it off the heat and let it sit for about an hour then strain. Reheat when you're ready to transfer it to the fondue pot.
Chinese Fondue Sauces
Diable Sauce (Mushroom)
Ingredients
3 tbsp butter
1 small onion chopped
1 small clove garlic minced
1 can mushroom soup
1 tsp dry mustard
½ cup red wine
2 tbsp cream or milk
1 tsp Worcestershire
1 tbsp lemon juice
Directions
1. Heat butter. Add onions and cook until soft, add garlic and cook one minute
2. Add remaining ingredients and cook until heated through and blended.
Dupéré Sauce (Tomato)
Ingredients
3 tsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can tomato soup
½ cup brown sugar
3 tbsp HP Sauce
Directions
1. Heat oil, add garlic for one minute. Add remaining ingredients and cook until heated through and blended.
