Good morning, wow cool painting of the toast Rain. thanks for the videos.
ReplyDeleteKathy
Oh my goodness... a croissant tutorial? I know I'm going to check it out, but I don't want to be tempted. I'm making my second loaf of no-knead bread tomorrow. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Rain, I have just watched your toast video - so much more than a slice of toast! thank you for the chat - it has been helpful to me as I have anxiety due to what I suppose is a trauma in my past but I don't face it. Wishing you calm, therapeutic time with your painting - I paint for the same reason :) Betty
ReplyDeleteDearest Rain,
ReplyDeleteBugs is a lovely chef, I might actually kiss him - provided his bread tastes good. So far my husband is the best bread baker I know. I am convinced that you also bake wonderful bread. Your painted toast looks delicious, too. There are photo collages from me again, unfortunately without any bread, but with a lot of wonderful nature and a few pretty mosaics.
ALL THE BEST and hugs from Austria!

Hello Rain
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your toon characters and art work, Bugs is a favorite.
You are talented and I can tell you enjoy doing the art and the baking.
Take care, have a happy day!
All your bread art looks yummy, including your art Rain. Your watercolor classes sound like fun. I love the idea of doing a toast study. And I've never tried croissants but yours came out great. I bet they taste good too. Thanks for the croissant video too. I hope you're having a nice week and did you get the little warmm up to? Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteHi Rain. the chef definitely deserves a kiss π
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday to all
much❤love
I love your toast! And Bugs with the bread reminds me of your loaves that you bake!
ReplyDeleteI love your picture of toast. Actually, I just love toast too: warm toast, loading with butter.
ReplyDeletePerhaps serendipitously, I made bread yesterday for dinner. I had made a smaller loaf, thinking that it would not all get eaten by the time I left town later this week. In point of fact it was almost completely gone before dinner. I should always make the bigger loaf.
Pull out bread and you're talking my language. And now, I must go make some toast!
ReplyDeleteThe no-knead yeast bread I make every once in a while is wonderful when toasted! A real treat!
ReplyDeleteBugs art is always great and your food always looks delicious ~

That toast does look Good! Bread and monsters, what a great post!
ReplyDelete❤️
ReplyDeleteYou make me realize that painting a convincing image of a piece of toast would be quite challenging!

You are such a smashing cook! I miss making bread. It just doesn't last here, since hubby cannot have it.

I will be adding cossairt to my bucket list.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Thank you for showing such an amazing toast blog.
ReplyDeleteYour monsters are so endearing, Rain. And Bugs is always a winner.I'm going to go listen to your croissant video right now!
ReplyDelete...bread is a comfort food for me. Thanks for hosting the party.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE a good hot bread! Yum.
ReplyDeleteOf course, dearRain, we love Toast. And myself especially the Croissants.

This week I made no knead artisan bread in a "poor man's" dutch oven which is 2 9x5 loaf pans clipped together with heavy duty binder clips. It really came out well. The croissants look so good, but I am an impatient baker so waiting to bake the second day would be tough.
ReplyDeleteVery useful blog on beneficial views on kitchen
ReplyDeleteRain,
ReplyDeleteDH absolutely loves bread! He can easily eat half a dozen biscuits or dinner rolls without blinking an eye IF he allows himself. I want to try to make some good loaf bread. I found a recipe I'm anxious to try. I appreciate you sharing your croissant recipe. That would be a good baking project, too. I'm not participating this week but if things go well then perhaps next week I can join the party.
Oh yeah, I sent you an email the other day. Basically, I apologized that the postal service returned the Christmas card I sent to you. I don't know why it wasn't delivered but anywho I'm sorry it didn't get to you for the holidays. :( Have a good weekend, my dear!
The best part of your Bugs drawing is the message on the hat ... Ha!, I think that is a great thought! And Bugs has a long way to go to rival you in bread making as do the rest of us. Your toast art looks good enough to eat and your video ... who would ever imagine it takes so many layers to make toast look real. You certainly have the patience to be very creative. And I have learned a lot by watching your videos and just have to find an opportunity to put my new knowledge to work. I am not a baker as I have explained before, but I do enjoy baked goods and I might surprise myself one of these days and bake something from scratch If and when that time comes, I will be coming to your videos to find a good recipe and instructions :) Meanwhile, I just appreciate all that you do and share with us ... You are a big part of my life, my friend :)

Your homemade croissants do look good ..
ReplyDeleteLove your Bugs art :)
Have a lovely weekend.
All the best Jan
Oh gosh, that toast looks as good to eat as the croissants. I wish I could bake or paint that well. I *can* eat though and I would love to try those croissants. (I can handle edible toast, although it probably won't look as good!).
